Day 1 – Nairobi – Masai Mara
Upon arrival in Nairobi, proceed through Immigration and Customs. After exiting the Customs & immigrations Hall, Please look out for a Big Five Tours & Safari′s driver/guides holding a Big Five Tours Banner with your name or tour name on it. Our Guide will assist with your luggage to your flight to Maasai Mara. You will fly over the Great Rift Valley to one of the stellar events of your safari- the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya′s most precious wildlife sanctuary. Here plains game is found in staggering numbers, and in turn support a tremendous predator population. This is big game country and long famed as one of Africa′s greatest concentrations of game. During your afternoon game drive, you will have opportunities to see herds of Impala, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Elephant, Topi, Buffalo, Warthog, Ostrich, as well as Lion, Cheetah, Hyena, and possibly the elusive Leopard. Day 2: - Masai Mara
During your morning and afternoon game drives, you travel across the savannah to rendezvous with the Mara Residents: herds of Buffalo, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Impala, and Gazelle. Dense thorn bush may reveal browsing black Rhino, and near the riverine woodland large numbers of Giraffes and Elephants can be seen. Hippos cavort, en masse, in the Mara River. A host to the country′s largest predator population, this reserve is renowned for Lion prides up to 20 strong. Overnight at KEEKOROK LODGE (B,L,D)
Day 3: - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast descend into the Great Rift Valley to one of the world′s most important bird sanctuaries. Lake Nakuru itself boasts the most spectacular of all of Africa′s bird sights- enormous flocks of pastel pink flamingoes, as well as other bird species. Here you have wonderful opportunities for color photography as masses of pink bodies glide above the reflection of blue water. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge ((B,L,D)
Day 4: - Aberdare National Park
After breakfast drive towards the highlands to the Aberdare Country Club welcomes you for a sumptuous lunch. Here you′ll store your luggage and take a small overnight bag with you up to the Ark. After lunch you′ll depart on special buses into the thick woodlands to the Ark at the heart of the Aberdare National Park. Situated in a fairyland forest, you can stay up all night long, if you choose, game viewing from a variety of observations decks or an underground bunker. The ark is situated beside a floodlit waterhole and natural saltlick, where a constant parade of wildlife will visit throughout the night. There′s absolutely no limit to the number of animals you′ll see. Birds and bushbuck are joined by Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Hyena or maybe Lion that may come to sample the saltlick. Day 5: - Mt. Kenya
After breakfast, drive via the Equator to the Mt. Kenya Safari Club, which is just to the west of Mt. Kenya. This it provides unprecedented luxury in the African bush. There are magnificent gardens and lakes graced by roaming peacocks and other exotic birds. There are quiet, shaded pools and waterfalls. Tribal dancers and drummers perform on the lawn. Huge eagles soar overhead and the sunbirds, multi-colored with metallic greens, blues, bronzes and reds, are attracted to the flowers in the garden. At 4:00 PM each day, high tea is served in the lounge. This is an event not to be missed, as they bring out individual silver trays stacked with small sandwiches, sweets and other "goodies." Tonight we will be treated to some of the finest cuisine on the continent in the elegant dining room. Overnight at MT. Kenya Safari Club(B,L,D)
Day 6:Mt.Kenya
After breakfast, you will have the whole day to relax at the club. There is a heated pool, horseback riding, a world-class golf course, a putting green, a bowling green, tennis, fishing, sauna baths, billiards, table tennis and a great variety of other activities available. The views of Mt. Kenya are spectacular. Overnight at MT. Kenya Safari Club (B,L,D)
Day 7:
After breakfast, you drive back to Nairobi arriving approximately 13.00 hrs. Afternoon at leisure. This evening dinner is planned for you. Overnight at Jacaranda Hotel (B,D)
Day 8:
Whole day at leisure to pursue your own interests.Dinner, overnight at Jacaranda Hotel(B,D)
Day 9:
After lunch, its kwaheri (A Swahili goodbye) as you′re transferred to the Airport for your outbound flight. |
